MANILA — The newly-installed chief of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation questioned Thursday the suggestions to privatize the corruption-ridden agency, saying it would "send the wrong signal."
It was reported earlier that President Rodrigo Duterte had told Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III in a recent meeting that he wants to abolish or privatize PhilHealth. But Gierran said that while he respects Duterte's view, he is also worried what would happen to PhilHealth members if the agency is handed over to some private firm's hands.
this man maybe different from the rest...
I agree na privatation is not the answer, pero putangina ang kurakot ng gobyernong protektado pa ni Digong
Exactly!
It’s not as if there was already trust in the government in the first place. Smh.
precisely.
Is it not?
Only a fool completely trusts the government. It's why the Americans have their second amendment.
I mean, yeah.
very capabIe po. to do corruption....
Capitalism has gone mad. The private sector cannot be trusted either - capitalism is failing globally. Democratic socialism is better known as cooperation and works for everyone rather than the few...
I mean. Akala ko niyo ba di pa namin yan iniisip ngayon? ASAN NA YUNG PHP 15B?
