PH Red Cross distributes cash aid to vulnerable families in San Juan

Senator and PRC Chairman Richard Gordon led the distribution together with International Federation of the Red Cross head Robert Kaufman and Mayor Francis Zamora. The event was held at the San Juan City Hall Atrium.He said that an initial 90 recovered patients already received help from the PRC last September 2.

The mayor said that the humanitarian organization aims to have a total of 300 beneficiaries in San Juan for its second batch of multipurpose cash grant distribution. Zamora noted that from June 12 to July, the PRC distributed P3,500 cash aid to 787 beneficiaries from Barangay West Crame in San Juan and hired 199 city residents to be part of their cash-for-work program of which each of them also received the same amount for their work rendered to the organization.
