Even after a year since Typhoon “Rolly” hit the Bicol region, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is continuing its recovery operations by helping the affected communities.

Even after a year since Typhoon “Rolly” hit the Bicol region, the Philippine Red Cross is continuing its recovery operations by helping the affected communities.

In Brgy. Bubulusan in Guinobatan, for instance, the PRC has completed the delivery of materials for shelter construction on Oct. 26. The materials were needed to completed second batch of houses to be reconstructed. PRC plans to build 164 houses in total as part of its shelter construction and monitoring activities in the said province.

“What we are doing in the Bicol Region is critical,” said PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gordon. “We need to help them quickly to rebuild their lives by building their homes,” he added.
