The Philippine Red Cross aided more than 200 locally-stranded individuals at the Manila North Port, the organization said on Friday, Jan. 21.

PRC Welfare services, together with the Manila Chapter, assisted the individuals who were stranded due to the coronavirus disease pandemic and the recent onslaught of Typhoon Odette. Among those who were there, according to PRC was Jikala Jilpan, a 45-year-old fisherman from Mindanao who was amputated due to a mine explosion while fishing. He is currently waiting at North Port, Manila, with his nine-year-old granddaughter.
