The Philippines needs to balance its relationships with China and the United States where the South China Sea is concerned. | jiandradeINQ

The defense secretary pointed out that the presence of the United States in the South China Sea does not exactly ensure that Philippine interests in the area are protected.

“Maybe if they are there, but they cannot always stay in South China Sea. They have to come here from their nearest bases in Guam and in Okinawa and have to travel and they have to leave. We are left behind so we have to balance our relationship with each of these superpowers to protect our interest,” he said.

“We are left here and we have to deal with the Chinese whether we like it or not. They are, of course, our neighbor. They are always there and they will not leave. So I think we have to manage our relationship with the Chinese and that’s what the President [has been] trying to do since the start of his presidency,” he said.

jiandradeINQ balance naman. kinancel ang Visa ni StoneSen kinancel din ng boss nia ang VFA pero nun nagkagipitan na sa SCS binawi ng boss cancellation ng VFA. balanced di ba?😜

jiandradeINQ Coward!

jiandradeINQ skewed to the CCP ang balance e. we can learn from our neighbours who are also not as strong militarily as China but are standing up to them

jiandradeINQ Until Filipinos remove these incompetent and corrupt fsiled government officials, the SCS will remain a property of foreigners. No amount of 'balance relationships' will happen while these corrupt leaders are in power! The country now is a failed state!

jiandradeINQ it looks like the scale is leaning completely towards china.

jiandradeINQ Walang silbi

jiandradeINQ 🐘💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

jiandradeINQ In other words acquiesce your sovereignty and become subservient to the CCP?

jiandradeINQ Very contradicting to his boss reason we don’t have a straight path

jiandradeINQ Sa russia na daw amo mo,tsip😁

jiandradeINQ we need to balance.timbangin ano ang mga pakinabang at hindi...sa pagiging balanse at nuetral

jiandradeINQ Need to balance? i think you need to make a firm stand.

jiandradeINQ Yes ...double-agents

jiandradeINQ 'balance' is political-speak for what exactly? the results we are seeing right now?

jiandradeINQ Balance in a way na hindi na makapangisda ang mga Pilipino sa sarili nilang dagat dahil tinatakot sila ng mga Intsik na inaabuso ang yamang-dagat ng Pilipinas? yourphilarmy TeamAFP

jiandradeINQ Balance in a way that your president can curse & behave arrogantly towards US and show Love Admiration Submissiveness to China So that is “balance it’s relationships” right Sec. Lorenzana? Puppet Idiot Inutile

jiandradeINQ Kaso hindi balance kasi kumikiling kayo sa China!
