Philippines logs over 30,000 recoveries for 3rd straight day

THE Department of Health recorded for the third consecutive day over 30,000 people in the country who have recovered from coronavirus disease .

The DOH on Monday, January 17, announced 33,940 recoveries, while on Sunday, January 16, it logged 30,037 Covid-19 survivors. Of the newly reported cases, 97 percent or 27,735 occurred within the recent 14 days, said the health department. The health department also logged 34 additional mortalities that raised the death toll to 52,962 or 1.62 percent.
