The Pasay City government recorded on Monday, Sept. 20, two new COVID-19 deaths, raising to 500 the number of residents who succumbed to the dreaded disease.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit listed 995 active cases including 110 new cases; and 150 recoveries.

Rubiano called on the city residents to follow the health protocols, especially the EMI Habit , to help the city government’s fight against the virus. She said 652 houses in 142 barangays were placed under the Localized Enhanced Community Quarantine on Sunday. The city government has been supporting the COVID-19 patients by giving them food packs containing 5 kilos of rice, 10 pieces of energen drinks, and ready-to-eat foods.

Rubiano is also encouraging the residents to get their COVID-19 jabs as the city government now has enough vaccines and is accepting walk-ins in all vaccination sites.
