Some of the parents of the nine teenagers who have gone missing in Pasay City are appealing to authorities to focus on their children’s cases as they have not yet received any significant progress for the past three weeks.“We need some updates on the case, considering that there are a number of them missing,” Grace de Ocampo, mother of one of the missing teenagers, told the Manila Bulletin.
The Manila Bulletin asked for an update about the case from the police, but Pasay Police investigation unit chief, Lt. Allan Valdez, said, there is still no update and that they only still remain missing. Meanwhile, Pasay Police chief Col. Bernard Yang said that, “the parents are being informed by Lt. Valdez of all the action taken by the investigators.”Yang, in a recent press conference, said that they were looking at various possible reasons behind their disappearance.
“A parent of one of them mentioned something about the involvement of his child in illegal drugs. Meanwhile, one said his/her sibling is missing and is also involved in illegal drugs,” he said. But Yang added that they have yet to find people who can give additional testimonies that will shed light on these cases.
