THE Quezon City Police District on Wednesday said it arrested and charged for obstruction of justice a paralegal officer who allegedly managed to get the remains of Manuel Santiago whom, he claimed, was National Democratic Front peace consultant Randall “Randy” Echanis.
They allegedly claimed that the remains was that of their relative whom they identified as Echanis, the QCPD said. However, upon discovery that there was no coordination with the CIDU on the release and transfer of the body, La Loma policemen, led by Lt. Ronaldo Ambatang, arrested Colabres while Perez managed to escape.
He urged those who have knowledge about the incident to come forward to help the QCPD resolve the twin murders. “For the meantime, we should stick with the facts of the case. If anyone can give any relevant information, please report to the nearest police station for the immediate resolution of this case,” Montejo said.
