Inihayag ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na lubha pang maaga para malaman kung makakaapekto sa public health at security status ng National Capital Region (NCR) ang umano'y pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa rehiyon.

Sa panayam ng Super Radyo dzBB nitong Biyernes, ipinaliwanag ni Duque na kailangan munang suriin ng DOH ang two-week growth at average daily attack rate sa bawat"hundred thousand population" ng bansa kung kailangang itaas ang alert level sa NCR.

“Mag-aantay pa tayo hanggang makita natin yung risk classification ay tataas kasi nasa low-risk classification pa rin tayo,” sabi ni Duque. “Sa ngayon wala pa at lalong di pa naapektuhan yung ating healthcare utilization rate na as of Wednesday, nasa less than 20 percent.’ ‘Yung ating non-ICU bed capacity, 17% nasa 16% yung ICU high capacity. Mababa pa ito,” patuloy ni Duque.

Ayon sa grupo, noong Mayo 13 hanggang 19 ay tumaas sa 71 mula sa 59 ang COVID-19 cases, kumpara sa nakalipas na isang linggo.
