No typhoon is expected to enter the country until the weekend, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

“Hanggang sa weekend, wala po tayong inaasahang bagyo na papasok ng ating (Until the weekend, we do not expect a typhoon to enter the) Philippine Area of Responsibility,” said Weather Specialist Benison Estareja on Friday, June 24. “Pero bago matapos ang Hunyo, nandoon pa rin ang possibility na magkaroon tayo ng mga low pressure areas o yung mga tuloy-tuloy na pag-ulan dahil sa habagat (But before the end of June, there remains a possibility that we will have a low pressure area or continuous rains due to the southwest monsoon),” he added.

He also noted that warm weather is expected in most parts of the country, with localized thunderstorms in some areas due to easterlies.In the afternoon, rains are expected to dampen Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, some parts of Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and Calabarzon.

“Asahan na po ang pulo-pulong ulan. Magdala po ng payong at posible itong magdala ng malakas na hangin at malakas na paguulan (Expect isolated rains. Bring an umbrella as this may bring strong winds and rains),” said Estareja.
