A low-pressure area will bring moderate to heavy rains over Kalayaan Islands within the next 24 hours, Pagasa said. | cgonzalesINQ

Based on the 11 a.m. weather advisory of Pagasa, the LPA was last spotted 265 kilometers southeast of Pag-asa Island in Kalayaan, Palawan. Pagasa said the LPA is still less likely to develop into a tropical depression.“Meanwhile, the Shear Line is affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon.

“Under these conditions, scattered flooding and rain-induced landslides are likely, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazard maps and in areas with significant antecedent rainfall,” it added.
