COTABATO CITY - Aabot sa P6.8 milyon ang halaga ng hinihinalang shabu ang nakumpiska sa operasyon ng mga pulis nitong Sabado sa Marawi City.

Huli ang 2 lalaki sa ikinasang buy-bust operation ng lokal na Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency katuwang ang Armed Forces of the Philippines at Philippine National Police.

Ayon sa mga awtoridad, matagal na umanong mino-monitor ang mga suspek dahil sa pagkakasangkot sa kalakalan ng ilegal na droga sa Marawi City at ilan pang mga bayan sa Lanao del Sur. “Inaalam namin kung saang grupo sila belong. Iba yung nakuha sa kanila compared doon sa mga previous operation, wala na ‘yung mga Chinese character, pero mag-submit pa rin ng sample sa national to find out kung saan galing,” ani PDEA-BARMM deputy director Marlon Santos.Mula Enero nitong taon hanggang sa kasalukuyan, aabot na sa P62 milyon ang halaga ng ilegal na droga ang nasamsam ng mga awtoridad sa rehiyon.
