Over P1-M ‘shabu’ seized in Navotas buy-bust

Police confiscated more than P1,000,000 worth of alleged shabu and arrested three suspects in a buy-bust operation launched in Navotas City early Sunday morning, June 19.

The Navotas City Police Station identified the suspects as Mark Renzo Valerio, 25; Jayzen Manalaysay, 34; and Glen Lacson; 36, all of Navotas City.

Police operatives led by Col. Dexter Ollaging carried out the entrapment against the suspects on Tanigue Street in Brgy. NBBN at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. The suspects yielded three four transparent sachets containing 170 grams of “shabu” worth P1,156,000. Also seized from them were a black leather coin purse, two sling bags, a notebook, a digital weighing scale, the buy-bust money, and a .38-caliber revolver with four live ammunition.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the police said.
