Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez ordered on Thursday the strict implementation of quarantine guidelines starting March 5 under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) classification.

Olivarez said curfew hour will be strictly implemented from 12 midnight to 4 a.m. He ordered the apprehension of violators.

Residents who are 15 to 65 years old can now go out of their residences. However, those below 15 and over 65 years old must stay at home. Pregnant women and those with co-morbidities are not allowed to go outside of their homes to prevent them from contracting the coronavirus disease . The mayor said that gatherings like movie screening, concerts, and sporting events are still strictly prohibited except for religious gatherings which allow 50 percent venue capacity as well as critical movement and authorized humanitarian aid.

Olivarez said other businesses allowed to operate with 50 percent capacity are computer shops and internet cafes, video and interactive game arcades, libraries, archives, museums and cultural centers; driving schools, limited tourist attraction, meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions, except for limited social events allowed only at only 30 percent capacity.

The mayor said dining services are also allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity. However, the selling and serving of liquor must stop at 11 p.m.
