The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has begun searching the whereabouts of a lawyer who was reported missing since the weekend.

NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin confirmed on Friday, Nov. 27, that agents of the Bureau has been searching for Atty. Ryan Oliva, who heads the Legislative Liaison Unit of the Department of Tourism and is also a law professor at the University of the Philippines .“SAU is investigating. Ageny Javier is agent on case,” Lavin disclosed.

The NBI spokesman said the investigator has also found the last person who last saw Oliva and has started to make queries.The UP College of Law and Oliva’s brother Randy has made separate Facebook posts asking the public for help in finding the lawyer who has been reported missing since the evening of Nov. 21.

The DOT said that it has also coordinated with the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in helping find Oliva.
