A Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology graduate topped the 68 passers out of 94 who took the Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission in October 2019.

MSU student Earl Dave Madridondo Tulabing topped the licensure examination with a rating of 86.15 percent, followed by Bryan Patrick Maderazo Carrasco from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and Dexter Rañises Madjos also from Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology both with 83.25 percent for 2nd place, and Kelvin Jon Ballad Miguel University of the Philippines-Diliman with a rating of 82.45 percent for 3rd place.

Online registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will start on October 29, 2019. The date of the oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees, as well for those who have yet to take their oaths as professionals, has yet to be announced.
