Mr. World 2016 arrives in PH, wants to do a movie in Manila

“I’m joining Bollywood. I will be shooting a film very soon and that’s what’s keeping me busy back home,” said Khandelwal during his welcome press conference at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center in Quezon City recently.“After Bollywood, I want to do a movie here. Is it difficult to learn your language? ‘Kumusta?’ ‘Mahal Kita?’ I just want to learn your language,” the Indian actor-model said.

“It’s a pleasure to be here and I’m really excited to meet all the contestants. I can tell that by now, they are really nervous as the coronation approaches,” he said. Khandelwal won during the 2016 pageant. He became the longest-reigning Mr. World titleholder after the 2018 finals was reset to 2019. Mr. World is usually held every two years.

Jody Barnes “JB” Saliba, a graduate of sports science from the University of the Philippines and an upcoming actor, is the country’s delegate to the Mr. World contest.
