The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Tuesday urged mall operators to manage their vehicle entrances located along Edsa to help ease traffic along the major thoroughfare.

In an interview with DZMM, MMDA Edsa traffic manager Bong Nebrija said the parking queues at malls often spill over to Edsa, adding to the vehicle build-up in the area.

Nebrija said some malls closed entrances along Edsa during the opening ceremonies of the 30th Southeast Asian Games. Nebrija said MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia has already tasked traffic enforcers and their district offices to monitor malls not only on Edsa but around the metro.
