The Makati Medical Center (MMC) has started providing online consultations while Luzon is under enhanced community quarantine to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the country. In partnership with digital financial services ...

In partnership with digital financial services provider PayMaya, MMC introduced its “teleconsultation” service, allowing patients to get in touch with physicians for healthcare concerns without the need to go to the facility.

“Through technology-aided video conferencing apps such as Zoom, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, both doctors and patients can communicate with each other…to have quick medical consultations when needed,” MMC and PayMaya said in a statement on Wednesday. Patients would then receive a text message informing them on how they would pay using their PayMaya account.
