Sa video na ipinadala ng netizen na si Leody Lucena, kita ang sunod-sunod na pagsulpot ng malalaking ipo-ipo sa Laguna de Bay.Nakuhanan din ng netizen na si Erwin Sison ang ipo-ipo mula sa kaniyang bahay sa Binangonan, Rizal.Ayon sa state weather bureau na PAGASA, posibleng mabuo ang water spout o ipo-ipo sa tamang kondisyon kung may ulan o paparating na ulan sa mga anyong tubig gaya ng lawa.
"'Yong water spout nabubuo siya kapag may intense or severe na thunderstorm," ani PAGASA weather forecaster Ariel Rojas. Tumatagal ng 10 hanggang 30 minuto ang ipo-ipo bago ito malusaw. Mas mahaba umano ang buhay nito kung matatag o stable ang vortex. Pero hindi lang daw dapat pagmasdan ang ipo-ipo dahil maaari itong makapinsala sa mga mangingisda o naglalayag kung mapalapit masyado sa ipo-ipo."'Pag tumawid 'yan sa lupa galing sa anyong tubig, puwede siyang makasira ng mga bahay, makabuwal ng mga puno pero wala namang report na tumawid sa lupa 'yong ipo-ipo," ani Rojas.-- Ulat ni Kevin Manalo, ABS-CBN News
