The Department of Education declared that it was ready to implement pilot face-to-face classes, and was just awaiting the go-signal from President Duterte to do so.

Meanwhile, there was some political activity at Vice President Leni Robredo’s camp after she stressed that she was not hiding anything, and that she was still discerning whether or not to run for President in the 2022 elections. She also said that she still wanted to talk with other opposition presidential contenders – Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Senatro Manny Pacquiao. Robredo also bared that she was open to going on another face-off with former senator Bongbong Marcos.

Also, it was reported that Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula tested positive for the coronavirus disease .Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar is flanked by DPWH Undersecretary Emil Sadain and DPWH Director Ben Bautista as they conduct a final inspection on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the 1.367-kilometer Ortigas-BGC Link, a flyover that will cut travel time between the two business districts from one hour to just 12 minutes.
