The awarding ceremony was held on the eve of the city’s 451st founding anniversary on Friday, June 24.
The resolution names him a “true, blue Manileño” whose advocacies for Manila were delivered through his housing, education, and health projects, as well as modernization and “Bilis Kilos” initiatives. The Rajah Sulayman Award was given to Medical Officer Dr. Edgar N. Santos II for his tireless efforts in the health sector.News anchor Alejandro “Kim” Atienza and singer-actress Angeline Quinto received the awards for the Mass Media, and Entertainment categories, respectively.Barangay Affairs: Barangay Chairman Michi Regalado-Castro of Barangay 841, Zone 92 in District 6.Culture and the Arts: Barbara Gordon – De los Reyes, the owner of Barbara’s Heritage Restaurant.
It also awarded business tax payers for their support to the city as well as their essential citywide projects.
