MANILA, Philippines — All is well now between Kylie Verzosa and Maxine Medina, who revealed Wednesday that her fellow beauty queen apologized to her four days after the “spitting” incident that happened during a taping.

In the thanksgiving press conference of their afternoon series “Los Bastardos” on Wednesday, Verzosa talked first and claimed she apologized to Medina “right after” the controversial episode.“Nagkaroon po kami ng eksena ni Maxine, patapos na po ‘yung show, sobrang heightened na po ‘yung emotions namin,” Verzosa said.

“Hindi naman po maiiwasan na may masasaktan po na iba. Right after naman, nag-sorry naman po ako,” she continued. But when it was Medina’s turn to speak, she said the apology came four days after. She then raised the point that they should have avoided such misunderstanding had they talked about the scene beforehand.“Siguro lesson na din ito na sana before na gawin natin ‘yung eksena, let’s talk about it. Para if ever may mangyari na hindi ka-nais-nais, eh kaya natin mag-sorry right after,” she added.“Pero actually ‘yun nga po dapat ginawa namin before the scene na dapat nag-usap kami.

To recall, both Verzosa and Medina competed for the Binibining Pilipinas crown in 2016. Medina won as Miss Universe Philippines 2016 while Verzosa represented the country as Miss International and won the title that year. /kga
