Many private hospitals might opt not to renew their accreditation with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), which allows their patients to avail of services which would be paid by the state health insurer.

Many private hospitals may opt not to renew their PhilHealth accreditation over fears that they will not be paid back by the state health insurer.

The Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAPi) said in an open letter addressed to PhilHealth President Ricardo Morales that most hospitals have yet to receive their reimbursements from PhilHealth and that some hospitals in Mindanao were stripped of accreditation over pending cases.

PHAPi also claimed that these hospitals were not given the opportunity to be heard in a formal hearing.

CNN Philippines has reached out to Morales for comment.

It seems the private hospitals are the one financing the healthcare benefits of Philhealth members. Maybe that's really the intention of Philhealth officials... Pass the burden to private institutions. Kawawa naman mga private hospital, abono muna sila bago makapaningil sa Philhealth. While philhealth pays them back 6 mos or later pa. Ganoon ka bagal magbayad ang Philhealth.

Baka kc d nmm binibigay sa kanila ng tama ang shares 😆

Trudeau environment policy disappoints young Canada activistsFor activists, Justin Trudeau, who was a symbol of hope when he took office in 2015, is no longer a change agent but the man who didn't do enough for the environment. Not for just activists. For anyone who accepts the reality of climate science. He's failed to meet Harper's weak carbon reduction targets. Completely failing to meet the Paris Targets. He handed out 10s of billions to big oil corporations. Trudeau is an undeniable climate fraud. Unfortunately Liberal leaders are flakes, flip floppers, yellow bellied and weak kneed and it’s rare to find one that can remain true to liberal principles. From Paul Martin to Obama to Nancy Pelosi to Hillary Clinton - they all let us down.
