THE cities of Manila and Quezon set vaccination records on Tuesday – 35,572 for the former and 37, 234 for the latter.Manila Mayor Francisco"Isko Moreno" Domagoso said that Tuesday's figure was 7,000 higher than what the city posted on June 20. Mayor Josefina"Joy" Belmonte meanwhile welcomed the development, saying the city government inoculated around 27,000 individuals for three consecutive days last week from June 17 to June 19.
"This is a big step in a ladder that we are climbing. With continued collective efforts from the city government, private sector, and other partners, we will soon achieve protection for most of our citizens," Belmonte said. The city's Public Affairs and Information Service Department said the"QCProtektodo" Vaccination Program has administered a total of 646,043 vaccines as of June 21.
