Luzon ‘low-risk’ na sa COVID-19 pero ilang lugar dapat pa ring bantayan - DOH

MAYNILA - Sinabi ng Department of Health na dapat pa ring bantayan ang sitwasyon ng coronavirus disease ( COVID-19 ) sa ilang lugar na low-risk areas, partikular na sa Luzon kahit na bumaba ang mga kaso sa nasabing lugar.

Sa datos na inilabas ng DOH, ang lahat ng rehiyon sa Luzon maliban sa Cordillera Administrative Region, na walang galaw ang trend, ay nagpapakita ng pababang trend. Ang Metro Manila at ang ilang lugar gaya ng Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Misamis Occidental, Oriental Mindoro at Dinagat ay low-risk na pero binabantayan ng ahensiya.

"They’re actually exhibiting negative growth rates. Pero nakikita natin na ang ICU utilization sa mga lugar na ito ay umaabot na ng high and critical risk. Ito ang pagpapaalala na kahit na ang mga kaso ay kakaunti o nagsisimula pa lang ang kaso, ito ang panahon na pagplanuhan at iensure na meron tayong sapat na kama," ani DOH Epidemiology Bureau Director Dr. Alethea De Guzman. 

Pero sa Visayas, tumataas ang trend. Gayunman, umaasa ang DOH na ang nakikitang pagbaba ng kaso sa Region 7 ay magtutuloy-tuloy. Magkakaiba naman ang trend ng bawat rehiyon sa Mindanao. Tumataas ang bilang ng COVID-19 cases sa Davao Region, Soccsksargen, at Caraga, habang ang Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao at Northern Mindanao, nakikitang pababa ang trend. Nag-plateau naman o pumatag ang trend ng kaso sa Zamboanga Peninsula.  headtopics.com

Nitong Miyerkoles ay nakapagtala ang DOH ng 4,353 bagong kaso ng COVID-19. Ito na ang ika-2 na araw na mas mababa sa 5,000 ang bilang ng kaso ng COVID-19, ayon sa ABS-CBN Investigative and Research Group. May mga senyales na bumababa na ang mga kaso sa buong bansa, ayon sa DOH, pero kasabay nito ay ang patuloy na banta ng Delta variant na napakadelikado umano kung mapapasok ang mga komunidad. 

Ang naturang variant ang naging sanhi ng pagguho ng healthcare system sa India na nagresulta sa pagpanaw ng napakaraming tao. Malaking tulong din anila ang genome sequencing para matukoy kung may iba pang dumating sa bansa na may Delta variant. Siniguro naman ni De La Paz na mas magiging regular na ang sequencing at paglabas ng resulta dahil sa mga bagong reagent na paparating sa bansa. Sinabi naman ni De La Paz na kailangan pang aralin ang mga ulat na may mas nakakahawang version ng Delta variant.
