MANILA, Philippines – Several domestic flights were canceled on Wednesday due to inclement weather.

In an advisory, the Manila International Airport Authority said the following flights are canceled as of 11 a.m:Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Visayas, Mimaropa , Bicol region, Zamboanga Peninsula, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao regions due to the trough of Tropical Depression Ineng.

The same weather condition is expected to prevail in Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” the state weather bureau said. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms. /gsg
