Liquor ban in effect in Muntinlupa under ECQ

There will be a liquor ban in Muntinlupa under the enhanced community quarantine status from Aug. 6 to 20.that Muntinlupa has an existing ordinance on liquor ban.Ordinance No. 2021-216 was enacted last March 15 “banning the sale, delivery, and consumption in public places of liquor and other alcoholic beverages during community quarantine in Muntinlupa City due to the COVID-19 pandemic and amending for this purpose Ordinance No. 2020-111.

Persons who are caught selling liquor and other alcoholic beverages will be fined P2,000 for the first offense and P5,000 for the second. Metro Manila mayors agreed to impose a unified curfew from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. during ECQ, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Benjamin Abalos Jr.
