Vicente Danao, director of the National Capital Region Police Office , dared the politicians who support the New People’s Army to let their own children go to the mountains and far-flung areas of the country to fight government troopers.“To the congressmen who are the protectors of the leftist groups, if you indeed believe that this ideology is good, I challenge you to let your children go uphill and teach them,” said Danao.
The social media bashing further intensified when Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade, commander of the Southern Luzon command and spokesman for a government task force against communist insurgency, tagged some universities in Metro Manila as recruitment grounds of the NPA. The universities are the Ateneo de Manila University, the De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, and the Far Eastern University.
“This is what you want? Imagine even your own children you want them dead to offer them as sacrifice for this senseless organization,” said Danao.
