Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday visited the victims of Typhoon “Tisoy” in the worst-hit areas of Bicol and provided them financial assistance to rebuild their damaged homes.

Robredo, who hails from Naga City, travelled first to the municipalities of Libon and Pioduran in Albay to check on the affected families there as well as to distribute relief goods such as rice and hygiene kits.

After her visit to Albay, Robredo went to Matnog and Bulan, Sorsogon, where she also inspected the damage caused by the typhoon. Her scheduled last destinations were Monreal, Masbate and Manito, Albay. “Iyong iba kasing lugar, hindi pa nararating dahil sa kahirapan ng access sa kanila. Hopefully by next week, better na ,” Robredo said.

The three provinces in the region–Albay, Sorsogon, and Camarines Sur– have been placed under a state of calamity.
