Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Caraga and Davao Region due to the prevalence of the intertropical convergence zone or ITCZ–a rain-inducing weather system containing circulations or low pressure systems.

Weather specialist Shelly Ignacio on Friday, July 2, said possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, a weak southwest monsoon or “habagat” is affecting extreme Northern Luzon but may not have a significant effect on this part of the country. The public is advised to stay alert against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
