Imus City now has its own molecular laboratory as a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing facility.

The Department of Health issued on Thursday, June 4, the license or the accreditation to operate the city’s real-time polymerase chain reaction test facility located at a building in the city’s hospital compound.“Our City of Imus Molecular Laboratory has been accredited and was given a license to operate by the DOH,” Maliksi said in Filipino. “With this operation, we can have an increase in testing and we can also render the immediate medical attention for the positive cases.

The city’s laboratory earlier passed the DOH-Research Institute for Tropical Medicine’s proficiency test with the final score of 100 percent. The DOH-RITM test on the laboratory was completed on May 29.
