Hundreds of tourists stranded in Moroccan lockdown

Like hundreds of tourists, Dransfield and her family drove more than 16 hours on Saturday from a camping site in southern Morocco to Spain’s Ceuta border when they were told by the British embassy that the border would open for them to pass. Some tourists tried to leave the line to go south but were turned back by roadblocks as Morocco banned between-city travel in a bid to control the spread of the virus.The press service of the United Kingdom embassy in Morocco told the AP they “don’t have any details to share on the border issue,” when asked if plans are in place to open the Ceuta border soon.
