Eric Go Yap aired the warning shortly after police and immigration authorities rounded up 91 Chinese women from a suspected prostitution den in Makati City.Yap said that an informant had claimed that some of the arrested Chinese nationals were actually employees of offshore gaming hubs operating in the country.“Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na may nahuling ganitong establishment para sa mga Chinese nationals at nakaka-alarma na ito,” said Yap.
He surmised that the reason for the influx of suspected prostitutes immigrating from China is the fact that the Philippines is now playing host to thousands of Chinese nationals employed in POGO establishments.
