And we have been preparing [for the spike in cases] by increasing bed capacity and augmenting our healthcare staff in our hospitals,” said Giango. “Gi-approve ni Gov ang requests sa mga hospitals based sa ilahang assessment, and based sa ilahang needs,” she explained.In the meantime, Giango urged confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients with mild to no symptoms of the infection not to proceed immediately to the hospitals.“Our isolation centers’ occupancy rates are still around 20 percent… Which means we have still available beds for COVID-19.
