Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra reminded the Bureau of Corrections to no longer include convicts of heinous crimes in the computation of those who should benefit from the expanded good conduct time allowance (GCTA) law.

Guevarra made the reminder as the revised implementing rules and regulations of Republic Act 10592 is set to take effect next week after 15 days since its publication in newspapers last September 19.

“Huwag ninyo na computin yung mga convicted of heinous crime dahil hindi sila kasama sa additional benefits ,” he told the BuCor.
