MANILA, Philippines — Both former senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio have praised Antique Rep. Loren Legarda for her advocacies and for being a “green champion” in the Senate, saying that she can do more for the country.
Marcos, who is seeking the presidency with Duterte-Carpio as his running mate in the 2022 elections, said that he himself saw what Legarda did in the Senate, as they crossed paths in the 16th Congress.Legarda, who was also present during the program, vowed to continue crafting relevant laws if she lands a seat in the upcoming polls. The former senator then stressed that she had been key for the crafting of environmental laws and free college education.
