Interior spokesperson Jonathan Malaya says government agencies involved need to meet again to see how the 30-day window rule should apply to commuting workers still waiting to complete their AstraZeneca shots.

It takes three months to get the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine. Will commuting workers who are partially vaccinated with it and needing to wait past February 25 be barred from taking public transport in Metro Manila in connection to the latest rule implemented via the"no vaccine, no ride" policy? The government admits the rule may have to be modified.

"You know, the availability of vaccines has been there...but nonetheless, I know this is also a valid concern," Malaya admitted."We will raise this once again to the three agencies, the DOTr, the DOLE, and us here in DILG, so we can come up with a policy for them." Malaya argued those who have received their first COVID-19 shot are expected to have chosen other brands with a shorter interval of at least a month.
