Gov’t isolation facilities’ occupancy rate drops to 52 per cent — Dizon

“Ngayon po ay nasa 50 percent plus na lang. Nasa 52, 53 percent na lang ,” Dizon said during Malacañang’s virtual presser.

The testing czar assured that capacities of the government’s We Heal As One Centers and isolation hotels under Oplan Kalinga are keeping up with the COVID-19-positive persons who need to be quarantined.“Umaabot sa 80 percent, 85 percent ang occupancy ng ating We Heal As One Centers at mga quarantine hotels ,” he cited.

Despite this, Dizon said the number of government facilities will still continue to increase because of the recent signing into law of the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act, also known as Bayanihan 2. “Magkakaroon pa tayo ng dagdag ng isolation centers at dagdag na hotels dahil nga nagkaroon na ng dagdag na budget para dito ,” the testing czar said.

“Sa tulong ng Bayanihan We Recover As One Law ay kakayanin pa natin ito kahit na dumami ang ating testing o dumami ang ating kaso ,” he pointed out.

My brothers died not from COVID, but from hospital-acquired bacteria – Cebu Rep. Garcia - Manila BulletinCebu Third District Rep. Pablo John Garcia said his two brothers – Marlon and Nelson Garcia – “died not from COVID or pneumonia but because of the bacteria that they got from the hospital.” The Cebu congressman stated this in an emotionally-charged press briefing with his sister, Governor Gwendolyn Garcia […] This is dangerous, I hope the governor and congressman will be more circumspect in sharing their theories until these are properly vetted. Yes, investigate but don’t announce things before the investigation is finish. Both of them have no medical background. An entire family of tossers. Political family dynasties controlling cities for many years are worse than Covid. Cebu Governor Garcia and Congressman Garcia, this is called karma for the years of corruption.
