K-pop boy group GOT7 is leaving their agency JYP Entertainment, 7 years after their debut.the 7 members of GOT – Jinyoung, Youngjae, Mark Tuan, Yugyeom, JB, BamBam, and Jackson – are no longer renewing their exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment, which expire on January 19.
On Monday, January 11, JYP Entertainment released a statement on GOT7’s departure, saying that both sides have agreed to the decision after"thorough discussions," while"hoping for a fresh future." "We genuinely thank GOT7 for being part of the growth of K-pop and JYP, as well as I GOT7 and all fans who have been a source of motivation to GOT7’s activities with their endless support since their debut," they said.
"Our official relationship ends here, but JYP will sincerely cheer on the new future that the GOT7 members will advance into," JYP Entertainment added."Nothing is coming to an end, just the beginning. The seven of us are going to continue to bring you guys the best version of us till the end. #GOT7FOREVER," he added.The group's latest single"Dye," was released in April 2020.
