“This could only mean that he will get off very, very lightly, if he cannot get off at all,” Gordon said in a phone interview. “This is the first time the chief of PNP has been thoroughly investigated by the Senate and the investigation was quite thorough in the sense that we are able to prove that Albayalde knew about the operation as of 2013…and therefore, he cannot be seen as having known about it afterwards only.

“He should be really charged. This is really conspiracy and it involved Dangerous Drugs Law,” the senator said. “It shows that there is really an intent or plan to really get the drugs and get the fruits of the drug operations.” “Parang ganun eh . I don’t want to say that they cherry-picked it, but it shows that they gave him a minor penalty. But the of a case always lies in the prosecution,” he said.
