The Philippines' Yuka Saso failed to follow up on her sizzling first round performance to drop out of the top spot, as the Japanese pair of Miyu Goto and Mao Saigo took over at NEC Karuizawa at Karuizawa Golf North Course in Nagano Prefecture, Japan Saturday.

Goto and Saigo had identical 136s, as they vied for the 14.4 million yen champion’s purse in this 80 million yen Japan LPGA tournament. The Filipina-Japanese shared third with Rumi Yoshiba , Ayano Asuda , Pei-ying Tsai of Chinese Taipei, and Fumika Kawagishi .
