Rama suspended the budget hearing because the local finance committee was unable to present the source of funds to the Council’s committee on the budget, of which Garcia is the chairman.
Garcia echoed the stand of Rama, who said that City Treasurer Arlene Rentuza, should explain the reason why she signed the proposed budget of Labella “with reservation.” Yet Rentuza is not the only member of the local finance committee, who needs to approve the budget before this can proceed to the City Council. The approval of the rest of the local finance committee members shows that the budget is ready to go.
