The Light Rail Transit Line 2 is offering free rides for women on Monday, March 8 in celebration of International Women’s Day.
In an announcement posted on its Facebook page, the Light Rail Transit Authority said the LRT-2 would offer free rides to female passengers from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Passengers were reminded to adhere to all safety protocols being implemented inside stations and coaches to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease .
These include the mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields, temperature checking, regulated entry of passengers, physical distancing, and the “no talking” policy, among others.International Women’s Month is celebrated every March to empower and inspire women to make a change.
