MANILA -- There is enough food supply as the lockdown of millions in the Philippines' Luzon region reached the halfway point, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said Monday.

Food supplies can pass through checkpoints and authorities have arrested 59 profiteers, Lopez told DZMM. The "enhanced community quarantine" is scheduled to end on April 12. "Madami ang supply pati sa mga grocery ," Lopez said, citing his inspection of markets with Agriculture Sec. William Dar.Special lanes for seniors are required in groceries. Check-out lanes are also organized to separate big carts from baskets, he said.
