LAPU-LAPU CITY, Philippines -- Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan has ordered the prioritization of fire victims in the ongoing vaccination roll-out against Coronavirus Disease 2019

Victims of the fire that hit Sitio Kamangahan, Barangay Pajo in Lapu-Lapu City were temporarily evacuated at the barangay’s covered court.

Lawyer James Sayson, deputy for Local Vaccination Operation Center, said that this is to prevent the spread of the virus in case one of them will test positive for COVID-19. “So ato silang unahan, para makalikay ta sa transmission sa evacuation site kay mas dako mana ang problema later on, inig balik ana nila sa barangay unya diha nagtinakdanay sa evacuation site,” Sayson said.
