. These products will be built at Renault’s facility in South Korea starting in 2024.
The collaboration will allow Renault not only to strengthen its product line-up in South Korea, but possibly expand its markets to include other parts of Asia. Meanwhile, Geely will likely use the Renault plant to build Lynk & Co-branded vehicles for the South Korean market as well as possibly export them to North America.
According to reports, Renault didn’t involve Nissan in its discussions with Geely. However, Renault CEO Luca de Meo is reportedly “fed up” and is “willing to rip the script the company and its alliance partner forged years ago to turn Renault around.”
