Ex-IKON’s B.I now a suspect in drug case
B.I (real name: Kim Han-bin), the former leader of K-pop boy band iKON, is now a suspect after admitting to some allegations in a drug case being investigated by the police.
“I am sorry for causing this scandal,” B.I told the media after the investigation, according to MyDaily.B.I in 2018 (YG Entertainment)Last June, B.I announced that he was leaving iKON after a Korean entertainment news site published a report about KakaoTalk messages between him and the drug dealer.
Korean media outlets reported that during the questioning by the police, B.I admitted some of the charges, prompting the police to change his status from witness to suspect.The police will charge B.I for violation of narcotics law and his case will be transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office, MyDaily reported.
Back in June, B.I wrote, “I apologize for the trouble caused by my inappropriate actions. It is true that I once wanted to rely on something that I shouldn’t even have an interest when I had a hard time. But I was scared and afraid to do it.”“Nevertheless, I am so embarrassed and sorry for the fans and members who are greatly disappointed and hurt because of my wrong words. I humbly reflect on my mistakes and I want to leave my team. Again, I bow my head and apologize to the fans and members. I’m sorry,” B.I added.
