The European Union Parliament denounced the deteriorating state of human rights and press freedom in the Philippines under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The EU lawmakers criticized the alarming extrajudicial killings and other human rights violations committed in the Duterte government's war on drugs. The EU resolution also decried the"threats, harassments, intimidation, unfair prosecutions, and violence" against journalists in the country. The group also says that the Philippine government should drop all politically motivated charges against detained Sen. Leila de Lima. They also called for her release to"freely exercise her rights and duties as an elected representative."

Mumurahin lang ng inutil ang EU parliament, siguro dapat nang mag-impose ng sanction ang mga bansa para matauhan yung demonyo dito sa atin. Parang ganun sa ginagawa nila sa north korea
When are they going to call out the rich nations including some of their own members in the European Union? “For decades, Human Rights Watch has documented excessive use of force by police and racially discriminatory policing – most recently in the US, France, and Brazil –...”
